The competition in the inter-municipal and 3rd Croatian handball league continues, and from the 2001/02 season RK "Našice" enters the 2nd HRL north.

Successes are on the rise, and with the completion of the sports hall in 2003. in front of their ardent fans, the acquired knowledge and experience of the second league are shown.

Handball is a hit in our city. As champions of the 2nd HRL North, we gain the right to qualify for the First Croatian Handball League with matches in Zadar, Poreč, Solin and Našice. In front of the crowded auditorium in the hall of the King Tomislav Elementary School, the qualifying matches did not succeed, but they did not give up the placement in the highest rank.

The 2005/06 season is the culmination of the success of all sports in Našice. With the matches to fill the First Croatian Handball League with Gorica, Trogir and Kvarner Kostren, the dream of generations of handball players has come true - RK "Našice" has become a first league player. With the great support of the fans, and the financial help of the sponsors of Nexe Group, donations from the City of Našice and other sponsors, the club has reached the highest rank of domestic competition.

From the season 2006/07. we compete in the 1st HRL, under a new name - RK NEXE.

We are becoming Croatian runners-up. At the international level, we pass the 2nd round of the EHF Cup with victories against RK Pristina, but in the 3rd round we are stopped by the Spanish CAI BM Aragon Zaragoza.

The success from last season was repeated by winning second place in the First HRL. In the EHF Cup we were stopped again in the 3rd round. After the draw in Našice (30:30), the home team Kadetten Schaffhausen defeated us on the road in Switzerland with 34:30.

Another season that we are finishing as Croatian runners-up, and in the European competition after the second round in which we defeated Dukla from Prague, in the 3rd round we are stopped by the Gorenje team from Velenje.

Vice-champions of Croatia, in the EHF Cup, we reached the eighth finals with victories against Sutjeska from Nikšić and Turkish Besiktas. In two super exciting matches against the renowned Bundesliga team SC Magdeburg, one goal separated us from passing to the next stage of the competition, but we did not succeed. This season we have joined the very high quality regional SEHA league and in the competition of 12 teams we took 5th place.

In the domestic championship, we again won the second place in the Premier Croatian Handball League, and in the EHF Cup we were stopped in the 2nd round by the Belarusian Meshkov. In the second season of the regional SEHA league, we won 7th place.

We are again Croatian runners-up, and at the European level we are stopped again in the 3rd round of the EHF Cup. Due to more goals scored away, the Spanish team Reale Ademar Leon advanced to the next phase of the competition. We took 6th place in the regional SEHA league.

This year we took second place in the HRL Premier League, in the Croatian Cup we advanced to the finals, where we were defeated by the PPD Zagreb team with 33:27. And this season we continued to compete in the SEHA Gazprom League and again took 6th place. In the EHF Cup, we achieved placement in the Group stage of the competition - in the company of Hungarian Balatonfüredi, German Melsungen and Swedish Eskilstun Guif. We achieved one victory, one draw and suffered four defeats - not enough to go further.

In the season 2015/2016 we won the second position in the Premier HRL, and in the domestic Cup competition we qualified for the Finals. In the semifinals, we were defeated by PPD Zagreb, and in the match for third place, we defeated the Dubrava team with 30:29 and won bronze. This season we were also participants in the regional SEHA Gazprom League and won 6th place. At the European level, we were stopped in the EHF Cup in the 3rd round - better than NEXE was the French Nantes.

Croatian runners-up, won second place in the HRL Premier. In the Croatian Cup, we again qualified for the Final Tournament - in the semifinals, we defeated Varaždin with 30:25 and advanced to the finals. In a super exciting and completely uncertain match against the PPD Zagreb team, the winner was finally decided by shots from seven meters. This time we only needed one goal (24:24) - 27:28. We concluded the European story again in the 3rd round of the EHF Cup with two defeats against Magdeburg. The competition in the SEHA Gazprom League continued. We finished the sixth season of this quality regional competition in 7th place.

In a very exciting final of the domestic championship, we again managed to win second place in the Premier HRL championship standings and this season we were finalists in the Croatian Cup - in the final we were defeated by PPD Zagreb with 18:27. In the new season of the SEHA Gazprom League, we won 8th place. The season on the European level was memorable. After we reached the group stage of the EHF Cup competition, with 4 wins and two defeats, we reached the quarterfinals. In the group we played against the Finnish Cocks, the German Göppingen and the Slovenian Koper, and in the quarterfinals we were awaited by the "Berlin foxes" - the Füchse Berlin team. In the first match in Našice, we achieved a historic success in a crowded hall, declassing the German team with 28:20. In the return match in Berlin, we were missing one goal until the placement in the final - it was 25:16 for Füchse Berlin.

This season we have joined the finals of the domestic championship - in the Premier HRL - Champions League we win second place again. In the Croatian Cup this year we participated in the Final Tournament. The draw decided that we will play against PPD Zagreb in the semifinals. In the final before the final, we were defeated with 33:31. In the eighth season of the SEHA Gazprom League, we finished the regular part of the season in 3rd place and achieved a place in the Final Four tournament, which was played in Brest, Belarus. We were defeated by the PPD Zagreb team in the semifinals with 23:28, and in the match for third place better than NEXE was the home Meshkov who won with 24:19. After a great European episode last year, we joined the new season of the EHF Cup in the 3rd round and with the victories against the Greek Olympiacos once again won a place in the Group stage. Our opponents in the group were Hungary's Grundfos Tatabanya, Germany's TSV Hannover-Burgdorf and Macedonia's Europharm Rabotnik. We achieved 3 wins and 3 passes, but that was not enough to get to the quarterfinals.

Due to the COVID 19 virus pandemic, the competition season in the domestic Premier HRL has not been played. With regard to the coronavirus epidemic and the measures of the CNIPH, the Board of Directors of the HRS made a decision to cancel the competition in all leagues and cup competitions in the 2019/2020 season. under the jurisdiction and organization of the Croatian Handball Federation. In the ninth season of the SEHA Gazprom League, we were stopped in the quarterfinals against the European champion Vardar from Skopje. In the first game, we were minimally defeated in Našice (30:31), and in return we celebrated in Skopje (26:25), but due to more goals scored away, Vardar qualified for the Finals.

In the domestic championship, we joined the finals of the Package 24 of the Premier League - Champions League, but after the first round, the competition was stopped by the decision of the HRS. In the moments when we were in top form, an unusual decision came from HRS: it should be continued. " The decision was made in Zagreb by the Board of Directors of the Croatian Handball Federation, based on the Requests sent by the RK PPD Zagreb and the Zagreb Handball Federation. All players and club officials should be vaccinated by May 26, and competitions should be completed by June 27. RK NEXE reacted immediately to this decision, the president of the club Josip Ergović, a member of the Board of Directors of HRS, who was the only one who was against this decision, made a press release. The championship, however, resumed a little earlier, on May 12, and ended on June 16. We managed to defend the second position, and we ended the hard and atypical season with the Croatian Cup Final in Poreč - we were defeated once again in the final by PPD Zagreb and returned to Našice with a "small bucket". Despite conditions that were anything but typical of the sport, the European season in the newly formed EHF Euro League was memorable. Constant testing, illness, isolation, quarantine, charter flights, masks and limited movement have become commonplace, but even in such conditions we played some fantastic matches. After the thriller match in Našice against Spanish Bidaosa from Irun, the Group stage of the competition was won in a fantastic atmosphere where we were greeted by a distinguished handball team: French Montpellier, Swedish Alingsas, Russian CSKA, Turkish Besiktas and German Magdeburg. With five victories, we managed to achieve placement among the 16 best teams of the newly formed EHF European League. This was followed by a knock-out phase of the competition and a duel against the super quality Bundesliga team Rhein Neckar Löwen. With a lot of bad luck and sports accidents, in the first game in Našice we were defeated with 25:27, and in return in Germany we played perhaps the best game and in the end drew with Löwen 27:27.
